The estimator provides timely and accurate pricing information pertaining to the company’s exhibit fabrication or other services, taking into account the existing production methods, timelines and established material costs. Provide technical advice on fabrication issues, while keeping abreast of the latest construction techniques and trends in the industry.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Fully knowledgeable of the company’s Line of business target marginsProduce necessary estimates or quotations from floor plans, renderings, “Red-Lines”, models, oral or written communication from both Sales and DesignMaintain close contact with Purchasing and Vendors, to assure pricing accuracyRecommend new or alternate vendors and material application, where appropriateProvide accounting with estimated job costs on custom or rental projectsParticipate in all Put-to-Detail, Put-to-Work, Heads-up, and Post-Sale MeetingsPeriodically monitor and audit projects for adherence to contractRecommend changes in pricing policy, based on (favorable or unfavorable) variances on completed projectsPosition Requirements:
Minimum of 3-5 years experience (Bachelor’s Degree Preferred) and a thorough understanding of all phases of exhibit fabrication, Detailing, I&D, Shipping and Logistics. Strong working knowledge of current vendors and materials used in the company. Thorough knowledge of business reporting systems and inventory management. Ability to communicate effectively and operate under severe time constraints.
